Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a Finance/Sourcing analyst to ensure accurate materials costs for bids and options. The role analyzes build margins against targets and coordinates with Strategic Sourcing and cross-functional teams to meet margin objectives.

You will manage customer-specific financial reporting and supplier administration for programs, including bid accuracy and contract cost validation. Ideal candidates have a university degree in Finance or Supply Chain, strong Excel skills, and

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or related training in Finance or Supply Chain Management.
  • Strong Excel skills and proficiency with PDF documentation.
  • Excellent analytical and financial skills with high attention to detail.
  • Experience in cost accounting is a strong asset.

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer-specific financial reporting and supplier/admin for programs.
  • Ensure accuracy of bids and pricing for new bids and options.
  • Attend strategy meetings with Sales, VAE and CPM to support pricing requirements.
  • Validate material costs on all customer change orders.
  • Coordinate receipt of contract quotations from suppliers as required.
  • Prepare management summaries for material costs and supply risks per bid/option.
  • Complete bid and proposal forms as assigned.
  • Ensure items are purchased at quoted values with Strategic Sourcing.
  • Interact with suppliers to ensure documentation and task completion.
  • Assist Finance with accuracy of contract margins reports.
  • Prepare documentation for State Content requirements and reporting.
  • Monitor and report SRCR and Bid activity and reference material cost with Strategic Sourcing.

POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for ensuring accurate Materials Costs to support the pricing of Bids, Options, and Customer Change Orders. This position will also analyze the margins achieved at build as compared to the targets established at the time of Bid or Option pricing and coordinate activities related to achieving the margin target with Strategic Sourcing and other cross functional groups. This position establishes controls over and monitoring of purchased parts item pricing and material cost on reference buses.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:
  • Responsible for all customer specific financial reporting requirements, maintaining all supplier and financial administration for the programs and leading customer audits.
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of bids.
  • Attend Strategy meetings with Sales, VAE (Vehicle Application Engineering) and CPM (Customer Program Management) for each Bid and Option to ensure support of pricing requirements.
  • Validate material costs on all customer change orders.
  • Coordinates the activity of receiving contract specific quotations from components suppliers as required.
  • Validates material costs on all customer change orders – SRCR’s.
  • Prepare a management summary for the material costs and supply risks on each bid and option.
  • Complete bid and proposal forms as assigned.
  • Ensure Contract Specific Quoted Items purchased at agreed upon quoted values with Strategic Sourcing.
  • Interact with Suppliers to ensure that documentation is correct and suppliers complete assigned tasks and responsibilities.
  • Assist Finance with the accuracy of the report contract margins.
  • Prepare documentation for State Content requirements and submits reporting.
  • Prepare contract specific documents as required for Bids.Monitor, control, and report SRCR and Bid activity and reference material cost with Strategic Sourcing/Purchasing.
  • Coordinate internal activities to support expedient audit closure.
  • Prepare documentation and reports for contract Content and compare actual vs. Bid.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
  • University Degree or related training/experience in Supply Chain Management or Finance.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel and PDF documentation is required in this position.
  • Exceptional analytical capabilities and financial skills.Process oriented with a high attention to detail.
  • Experience in cost accounting considered a strong asset.
