Canada Life is seeking a BI Platform Engineer to operate and evolve our enterprise BI platform, enabling self‑service analytics while ensuring security, compliance and cost efficiency. The role involves governance, deployment automation, monitoring, and incident response across Power BI, Fabric, Cognos and Tableau.

You will work closely with data engineering, architecture and business teams to deliver scalable insights and cost‑efficient analytics, with strong scripting, CI/CD and hybrid-cloud

Qualificações

• A university or college education in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years in BI platform administration/engineering and 3+ years operating Power BI Service/Microsoft Fabric in production.
• 3+ years operating Cognos Business Analytics and Business Intelligence in production.
• 3+ years operating Tableau in production.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft tools for data and analytics: Power BI, Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory and Azure services.
• Experience with CI/CD for BI artifacts, Git integration and deployment pipelines; scripting in PowerShell/Python.

Responsabilidades

• Operate and evolve enterprise BI platform for trusted, scalable insights.
• Administer Power BI/Microsoft Fabric, Cognos and Tableau platforms.
• Build reusable platform capabilities: provisioning, guardrails, policies.
• Implement governance, tenant settings, auditing across environments.
• Automate platform operations with scripts and DevOps tooling.
• Establish observability, SLOs and operational dashboards.
