Sr. Technical Support Engineer at Bentley Systems

The Technical Support Engineer plays a vital role in assisting end users by resolving their technical issues, thereby facilitating successful user outcomes through a proactive, service-oriented approach aligned with users’ needs.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure high-quality support for Bentley products to support business success.
• Respond to user support requests via phone, email, and web portals.
• Perform software troubleshooting, escalate issues when necessary, and document bugs and enhancement requests.
• Assist users with installation, configuration, and functionality questions.
• Act as primary support contact for urgent issues and keep users informed.
• Build strong relationships to become a trusted advisor.
• Document processes and create knowledge articles and technical papers.
• Report defects to the L3 team or vendor and coordinate with them.

Technical Qualifications:

• Experience in technical support with global user interaction.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a 'user first' approach.
• Experience with CAD, modeling, or rendering software.
• Fluent in French, with good English language skills preferred.
• Engineering background with experience in Plant Design, BIM, or Road Design and Modeling preferred.
• Ability to resolve issues via phone, forums, and email.
• Excellent communication skills and user-facing abilities.
• Good knowledge of Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to understand user environments for effective workflows.
• Self-motivated, proactive, eager to learn.
• Experience with Help Desk tools and CAD software like MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, ProjectWise.
• Knowledge of BIM modeling or 3D design software.
• SQL scripting or similar database skills.
• Experience managing multiple systems as a CAD Administrator.
