Job summary

Meldrum Horne, an Ottawa-based employee benefits and financial consulting firm, seeks a Benefits Analyst to support group benefits design, analysis, and client deliverables.   • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of professional experience in group benefits.
  • Knowledge of Canadian benefits industry and underwriting requirements.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word/PowerPoint/Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design and management of group medical, dental, life, disability, and special risk benefits.
  • Perform annual renewal analysis and carrier negotiations; prepare client reports.
  • Complete experience reporting, budgeting projections, and review plan financials.
  • Gather data, assess cost impacts for plan changes, and prepare marketing analytics.
  • Support documentation for client presentations and meetings; build client/vendor relationships.

Job description

The Benefits Analyst will provide group benefits consulting support, including design and financial management for existing medium and large clients and prospects.
