Job summary

Upper Canada Child Care is hiring Assistant Educators for Woodbridge locations (St. Clare CES, Joseph A. Gibson PS, Mackenzie Glen PS & St. James CES). The role requires working split shifts in before/after school programs, full-time supply or casual supply with minimum shifts monthly.

Qualifications

• Vulnerable Sector Check current or eligible.
• Health assessment and immunization per legislation.
• CPR-C and Standard First Aid certification (training provided).
• Understanding of developmental needs and play-based learning.
• Experience with inquiry/play-based program design is a plus.
• Ability to use Dayforce and Storypark.

Responsibilities

• Deliver developmentally appropriate, play-based programming.
• Engage with children and provide positive learning experiences.
• Communicate with families and staff about activities and child progress.
• Complete daily logs, charts and required administration.
• Collaborate with team and outside agencies as needed.
• Guide students and volunteers; support individual plans as required.
