Upper Canada Child Care is hiring Assistant Educators for Woodbridge locations at St. Veronica CES and Teston Village PS. Positions include split-shift duties in before and after school programs with casual and full-time options.

Qualifications

• Vulnerable Sector Check is required.
• Health assessment and immunization per legislation.
• CPR-C and Standard First Aid certification required or provided.
• Knowledge of developmental needs and play-based program design beneficial.
• Experience with pedagogical documentation enhances program delivery.
• Strong written and verbal communication with families.
• Physical stamina for supervision in various settings.
• Familiarity with Dayforce and Storypark software.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Ministry requirements and program statements.
• Participate in professional development and team meetings.
• Engage with children, support meals, toileting, and daily routines.
• Communicate with parents and document progress.
• Complete charts, logs, and administrative tasks.
• Use Storypark to document pedagogy and program development.
• Collaborate with staff and external partners to support children.
• Guide students or volunteers as needed.
• Identify children needing extra support and connect with resources.
