Job summary

Umbrella Family is hiring a Before and After School Educator to supervise and engage JK/SK and school-aged children in a warm, safe environment in Dundas, ON. The role runs Monday to Friday with early morning and after-school hours, including planning purposeful activities and providing healthy snacks.

You will collaborate with colleagues, support families, and implement developmentally appropriate programs based on How Does Learning Happen?, while maintaining strong safety and care standards in

Qualifications

• ECE diploma and active member in good standing with the College of ECEs or director's approval to work alone with children.
• Experience in a childcare setting and ability to interact with children needing behavioural guidance.
• Knowledge of How Does Learning Happen? and program planning for JK/SK and school-aged children.
• Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills, with flexible scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Greet children and families with warmth and professionalism.
• Support children's transition from home to program and promote self-regulation and social engagement.
• Engage children with programming activities and provide healthy snacks.
• Supervise indoor/outdoor play and ensure safety and well-being.
• Plan and implement activities aligned with How Does Learning Happen? and center programming.
