Job summary

Carpenter Co. in Toronto is hiring a Production Manager to ensure safe, accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders while upholding our quality standards.

You will oversee the department supervisor and all hourly staff, coordinating with maintenance and CSR to keep production on track. You will drive Kaizen improvements, maintain SAP production reports, review time records daily, and train supervisors.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years manufacturing or production management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology or related field.
• Microsoft Excel, SAP, PowerPoint proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage the work of the department supervisor.
• Supervise all hourly employees, visitors, and contractors.
• Ensure on-time fulfillment of customer orders with safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with senior management to meet annual goals.
• Train, coach, and mentor supervisors and staff.
• Review and approve personnel time records daily.
• Maintain SAP production reports and KPI dashboards.
• Enforce health and safety rules and SOPs.
• Develop and revise SOPs and safe work protocols.
• Conduct periodic observations in the work areas to enforce health & safety standards.
