Job summary

Gescan, part of the Sonepar Group, is seeking a driven Sales Manager to maximize direct project sales in Western Canada. You will coordinate with Regional/Branch managers and outside sales teams to achieve budget goals through the Central Quotations team.

Responsibilities include developing opportunities, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring top-tier customer service while collaborating with Purchasing and Vendor Relations. Strong leadership and CRM management are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• College/University Diploma focused on Sales & Marketing preferred.
• Experience in customer service, sales and/or distribution required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
• Minimum 5-7 years of related work experience.
• Previous management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Implement and manage a consistent follow-up program used by all Outside Sales Representatives and Quotation team.
• Develop new customer opportunities by calling on specifiers and engineers.
• Call and visit major accounts and continuously develop customer relationships.
• Maintain open communications with Sales, Administrative staff, Quotations, Marketing, Branch Managers; external customers, engineers and vendors.
• Monitor and resolve customer issues to ensure excellent service.
• Collaborate with Purchasing to manage product pricing for customers and provide feedback.
• Work with Vendor Relations Manager to align with vendor strategies.
• Manage the CRM system.
