Job summary

BBYO CPR - Canada Pacific Region seeks an Associate Regional Director to lead the BC region and supervise BBYO teen programs. You will mentor teen leaders, plan regional events, and build partnerships with JCC Greater Vancouver, Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, schools, synagogues, and other key community stakeholders.

You will manage programs, support volunteers, and drive engagement across BC while ensuring safe, professional, and BBYO-compliant activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 1-3 years of experience working with teens, youth programs, community organizations, or nonprofit organizations.
• Experience leading teams, volunteers, or projects preferred.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• Experience with program development, event planning, community engagement, or nonprofit operations.
• Comfortable managing budgets, administrative systems, and operational responsibilities.
• Skilled in professional writing, communication, and digital tools.
• Ability to travel throughout British Columbia as needed.
• It would be great if you spoken Russian, Hebrew, French, or other languages.
• Valid driver's license required.

Over the last couple of years, an exciting team of Jewish community leaders and leading Jewish institutions, in partnership with generations of parents and alumni, have united around a bold vision to lift BBYO CPR - Canada Pacific Region to new heights. BBYO is seeking a part-time Associate Regional Director excited to lead the region through its next evolution and eager to pursue its strategic goals. This individual will partner with a team of colleagues, volunteers, and teens across the region’s Jewish communal hubs, nurture a diverse network of stakeholders, and ensure that BBYO is providing a best-in-class experience for Jewish teens that’s meaningful, transformative, fun, and professional.

This BBYO CPR - Canada Pacific Region team member will build, strengthen, and maintain strategic partnerships with the Jewish Community Centre (JCC) of Greater Vancouver, the Jewish Federation of Greater Vancouver, Jewish schools, synagogues, and other key community stakeholders throughout British Columbia. The Associate Regional Director will work collaboratively to expand Jewish teen engagement, increase BBYO's visibility and impact, and develop meaningful opportunities for teens across the province. The ARD will also oversee and supervise all regional and chapter programs and events organized by BBYO teens throughout British Columbia, ensuring they are delivered safely, professionally, and in accordance with BBYO policies, standards, and educational goals.

What you'll get to do as our Associate Regional Director:

• Mentor and support teen leaders and volunteer Advisors to build thriving, teen-led BBYO chapters across British Columbia through coaching, leadership development, and chapter support.
• Plan, coordinate, and oversee regional and chapter programs, conventions, leadership trainings, and community events, managing logistics, budgets, registrations, and ensuring compliance with BBYO policies and safety standards. The ARD is also expected to be present in person to supervise regional and chapter programs when a volunteer Advisor is not available.
• Build meaningful relationships with Jewish teens and community partners to grow membership, strengthen engagement, and expand BBYO's presence throughout British Columbia.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer Advisors while guiding chapter planning, leadership transitions, and long-term chapter success.
• Collaborate with the Regional Director on strategic planning, budgeting, fundraising, donor engagement, reporting, and regional growth initiatives.
• Represent BBYO professionally within the Jewish community and support local teen engagement initiatives while participating in regional, national, and international leadership opportunities as required.

Compensation will be commensurate based on experience within an initial $25,000 CAD. The position will be built and supported to maintain a flexible work environment to help foster your preferred work-life blend.
