Position Summary:u00A0u00A0 We are currently looking for Junior BAS Service technicians to join our growing Ottawa BAS team.u00A0 The individual would be working with our project team and would report directly to the BAS Service Manager. u00A0
Responsibilities: u00A0u00A0

• Assist in delivering BAS solutions to our customer base within the Construction/Operation Department.
• Assist with site commissioning, point to point verifications, troubleshootingu00A0andu00A0startups of BAS, HVAC Equipment and Lighting controls systems and their peripheral devices under the supervision of highly experienced BAS team.
• Assist with project and service group documentation.
• Learn and demonstrate a thorough understanding of Ainsworth Safe Work and H&S Policies.
• Show initiative in learning HVAC and DDC fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric BAS product portfolio.
• Show an understanding of HVAC and DDC fundamentals, as well as Schneider Electric,u00A0(Trane, Siemens, Automated Logic or other BACnet) BAS product portfolio and end devices.
• Complete Schneider Electric product-specific training prior to factory training.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of BAS Networking and System Integration.

Qualifications: u00A0u00A0

• 1-3u00A0years + experience in BAS technician role
• Valid Driveru2019s license and the ability to be insured by Ainsworth
• Pass security screening as required by Ainsworth's Governmentu00A0clients and/or must be bondable. Reliability clearance an asset
• Fluent in English u2013 both written and oral. Fluent in French is a definite asset. The ability to read and understand construction plans and specs and product documentation. Graduate of Post-Secondary technical or engineering program.
• Fluent in Microsoft Office, including Visio or Scripted programming language.
• Medium physical duties, the ability to stand for long periods of time in a construction environment, the ability to climb ladders and work from heights (with fall arrest protection provided).
• Some travel may be requested from time to time. Ainsworth will reimburse travel expenses including mileage for driving.
