Job summary

Setpoint Building Automation, based in Vaughan, ON, is seeking a BAS Project Manager for full-time, on-site work. You will lead BAS installation and retrofit projects, acting as the project face and coordinating with technicians, contractors and engineers to ensure on-time completion.

You will review designs, guide programming and graphics, and deliver comprehensive As-built submittals. A strong HVAC, DDC, BACnet background and travel availability across Ontario are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of BAS industry experience.
• Experience with Reliable Controls or equivalent products (Metasys, Desigo, EcoStruxure, Distech, ALC, etc.).
• Tridium Niagara framework experience is an asset.
• Deep understanding of HVAC, DDC controls and BACnet.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment and applicable codes/standards.
• Ability to read mechanical/electrical drawings and specifications.
• Effective written and verbal communication with owners/consultants/contractors.
• Valid Ontario G driver's license and ability to travel across GTA/Ontario.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external mechanical/general contractors and engineers to keep projects on schedule.
• Ensure projects meet Setpoint standards across installation, programming and design.

• Document and sign off on As-built submittals when projects finish.
• Mentor BAS Specialists in programming and graphical interface creation.
• Work with end customers to customize BAS to meet needs.

Role Description: The BAS Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Vaughan, ON. As a BAS Project Manager, you will be responsible for the completion of BAS installation and retrofit projects at Setpoint. Acting as the "face of the project", with the support of our BAS Specialist (technician) team, you will be responsible for, but not limited to: BAS system design, shop drawings, project management, external party communications, programing, commissioning and as-built submittals.

As a Project Manager at Setpoint, you are granted significant autonomy and are ultimately responsible for completing the entire scope of a BAS project.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

• Act as the face of the project to all external parties and the person ultimately responsible for the completion of a project
• Work in collaboration with our installation team to ensure site roadblocks are addressed
• Coordinate with external mechanical contractors, general contractors and engineers to ensure projects progress on schedule, representing Setpoint based on our core values
• Ensure projects are completed to Setpoint standards across installation, programming and design

System Design

• Review mechanical drawings and project specifications
• Design the BAS system for a given project and provide guidance to our BAS Specialist team in the completion of shop drawing submittals
• Document, review and sign off on As-built submittals when a project is completed

Programming & Graphics

• Provide guidance and mentorship to BAS Specialists in the programming and graphical interface creation of BAS projects
• Work with the end customer to customize their BAS based on their needs
