We are a leading provider of smart building solutions, seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Installer to join our growing Building Automation Systems (BAS) team. In this role, you will be responsible for the complete electrical installation of cutting-edge BAS and HVAC control systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial buildings.

Responsibilities

• Conduit & Raceways: Install, bend, and mount electrical conduit (EMT, rigid) and other raceways for BAS wiring with precision and craftsmanship.
• Wiring & Terminations: Pull, label, and terminate low-voltage control and communication wiring for all system components. This includes connecting devices to controllers and control panels.
• Device Installation: Install, wire, and set up a wide range of BAS field devices, including:
• Motor starters and contactors
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Control panels and transformers
• Valve and damper actuators
• Code Compliance: Perform all work in strict accordance with the Ontario Electrical Safety Code (OESC), local amendments, and project specifications.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret control drawings, electrical schematics, and riser diagrams to ensure accurate installation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, BAS programmers, and other on-site trades to ensure seamless project execution and meet deadlines.
• Safety: Maintain a safe and clean work environment at all times, adhering to all company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Required:
• Proven experience in commercial or industrial electrical installation.
• Strong knowledge of the OESC and safe electrical installation practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid G driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Assets (Preferred but not required):
• Direct experience with BAS, DDC, or HVAC controls installation.
• Experience installing and wiring VFDs, motor starters, and various field sensors/actuators.
• Valid safety certifications (e.g., Working at Heights, WHMIS).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
