Job summary

Great Canadian Gaming Corporation is seeking a bar attendant to prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages with prompt, friendly service.

The role requires Smart Serve certification, knowledge of drink recipes, and responsible alcohol service. You will manage cash transactions, operate the POS system, and maintain inventory and sanitation across the bar area.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering high-quality guest service in a fast-paced bar environment.
• Knowledge of standard drink recipes, inventory control, and cleanliness standards.
• Familiarity with cash-out procedures and POS transactions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional guest service in a friendly, upbeat manner.
• Maintain safe, responsible service of alcohol per laws and company policies.
• Perform cash handling and complete cash out procedures accurately.
• Operate the POS system and process payments efficiently.
• Maintain bar stock, order supplies as needed, and assist with inventory.
• Clean and sanitize glassware, work surfaces, and bar equipment daily.
• Record inventory and waste at shift end and document incidents as required.
• Adhere to Health & Safety policies and Smart Serve guidelines.

Under the general direction of F&B supervisor/Ops Manager; this position will be responsible for making and serving various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a prompt and friendly manner.

Under the general direction of F&B supervisor/Ops Manager; this position will be responsible for making and serving various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in a prompt and friendly manner.

Duties

• Provides exceptional customer service to guests in an upbeat, positive and professional manner
• Ensure safe and responsible service relative to all aspects of the sale and service of all beverage products including setting a drink rate, avoiding intoxication and inform all co-workers of guests being monitored
• Follow and complete all cash out procedures accurately
• Settle cash and debit/credit card payments with all patrons
• Follow opening and closing bar procedures
• Ensure appropriate inventory supply of alcoholic beverages and other related products
• Ensure proper cleaning and operation or glass washer
• Complete spillage documentation of all alcoholic beverages
• Complete daily inventory and waste sheets prior to end of the shift
• Strong knowledge of standard drink recipes, menus and food items
• Complete knowledge of the P.O.S. System
• Conduct regular cleaning and sanitation of glassware, refrigerators, bar surfaces, glass washers, equipment and supplies
• Comply with all alcohol related house policies, practices and Smart Serve Guidelines
• Complete cash out and deposit procedures
• Communicate all beverage alcohol activities at break and end of shift
• Ensure compliance with company’s health and safety policies and adherence to the Occupational Health and Safety Act
• Perform other duties as assigned by management
• Valid Smart Serve Required
• AGCO Cat 2 Gaming License Required
