Cypress Mountain is hiring Bartenders to join our dynamic bar team in the Crazy Raven! If you are passionate about mixology and have a keen understanding of both classic and contemporary cocktails, we want you on our team. Along with bartending duties, you will also be responsible for taking orders, running food, and assisting in clearing tables. If you have a love for crafting beverages and providing excellent service in a fast-paced, high-energy environment, this role is for you!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Take drink and food orders in a friendly, courteous, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of the menu, including ingredients, preparation methods, and pricing.
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beer, and wine, following standard recipes and maintaining consistency in quality.
  • Uphold the four Ps of Product Knowledge: Portion, Preparation, Presentation, and Price, ensuring every drink meets set standards.
  • Serve food and drinks to guests at the bar and at tables as needed.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with inventory management, restocking bar supplies, and reporting shortages to management.
  • Follow safety protocols and alcohol service guidelines to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests.
  • Keep the bar area clean and organized, including washing glassware, stocking supplies, and disposing of waste.
  • Perform general cleaning duties, including sweeping, mopping, and emptying garbage.
  • Follow safety protocols and kitchen cleanliness standards, including proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Competencies
  • Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation, with an understanding of classic and contemporary drinks.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Strong customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with guests.
  • Ability to work efficiently and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, adaptability to change, and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Able to work standing for long periods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
  • Strong organizational skills and effective time management.
Education and Experience
  • 2+ years previous bartending experience.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada.
  • Serving It Right certification required.
