Job Description: Bartender at Hyatt Regency Vancouver

Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, professional, and customer service-oriented individual to join our beverage team as a Bartender.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing libations and offering customized recommendations.
• Maintaining an attractive bar setup.
• Familiarity with mixology, bar equipment, and sanitation standards.
• Engaging with guests through casual conversation, creativity, and personal style.
• Understanding local serving guidelines.

Candidate requirements:

• Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, with shifts starting as early as 10 AM and ending as late as 2 AM.
• At least one year of bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or pub setting.
• Previous customer service experience.
• Ability to carry on engaging conversations with guests.
• Knowledge of cash handling and upselling skills are preferred.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work independently.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Wage information:

Starting at $20.72/hour, increasing to $24.18 after 6 months, and $27.63 after 1 year.

Qualifications:

• BC Serving It Right certificate.
• Food Safe Level 1 certificate.
• Physical ability to stand and walk constantly, lift up to 30 lbs., and perform repetitive duties.
