Job summary

The Fort Pub & Grill in Alberta seeks an experienced bartender/server to join our on-site team. You will prepare mixed drinks, wine, beer and non-alcoholic beverages, take orders from patrons or staff, and ensure accurate cash handling at the bar. ProServe certification is required.

Applicants should have a bona fide passion for hospitality, maintain high cleanliness standards, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• 2 years to less than 3 years experience in a bar or hospitality setting.
• ProServe certification is required.
• On-site role at a restaurant/sport venue.

RESPONSIBILITIES

TASKS

• Clean bar area and wash glassware
• Serve food or snacks
• Clean draft beer system
• Advise on wine selection
• Provide recommendations on drink selections
• Collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages
• Operate cash register
• Operate video lottery terminal
• Record and balance beverage sales
• Store beverage and food products
• Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock
• Address customers' complaints or concerns
• Prepare mixed drinks, wine, draft or bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages
• Take beverage orders from serving staff or directly from patrons
