Bridgehead is a local Ottawa-based coffeehouse seeking a Barista at our Place Bell location, 160 Elgin St, Ottawa. Starting pay is $17.60 per hour. You will provide warm hospitality, craft beverages to standard, and talk about our story and sustainable sourcing.

Requirements:

• Experience in Customer Service is considered an asset
• Established professional, empathetic, and engaged customer service model
• Team player
• Comfortable with multi‑tasking and prioritizing tasks
• Verified record of punctuality/attendance and time management

Physical Requirements:

• Physically fit to stand, walk, bend, twist and lift up to 30 kg, and to work at counter height for up to an 8‑hour shift
• Constant computer, POS, and bar equipment use at counter height
• Frequent, continual, intermittent flexing and/or rotation of the wrist and spine
• Efficient oral communication, receiving, interpreting, and providing detailed information to customers and employees
• Clarity of vision at near and/or far distance
• Occasionally be able to accurately distinguish and describe flavors and odours.

• Ability to understand and carry out instructions delivered both orally and in written format – and request clarification if necessary

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous coffeehouse or customer service experience
• Safe food handling certificate
• Knowledge and/or love of coffee and tea
