Job summary

Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership’s e11even venue in Toronto seeks a Barback to support bartenders and ensure timely, professional service for guests. You will help deliver winning food and beverage experiences in a dynamic, high-pace setting steps from Scotiabank Arena.

Role requires lifting up to 40 lbs, bussing/barback experience, and Smart Serve certification. You’ll work a variety of shifts, uphold MLSE standards, and contribute to a premium guest experience.

Qualifications

• Available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Previous bussing/bar back position experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Set and stock bar, including lifting boxes and cases.
• Ensure bar stations and wells are fully stocked with juices, garnishes, small wares and ice.
• Remove all dishes, glassware and cutlery from bar top.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar.
• Polish cutlery and glassware.
• Lift, move, and change kegs.
• Ensure adequate inventory of products and glassware.
• Become familiar with all menu and wine selections.
• Provide friendly and informed responses to inquiries.
• Complete side duties and other tasks as assigned by the bartender and service manager.
• Adhere to MLSE service standards and policies.
• Follow all MLSE Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Job Description Located in the heart of Toronto’s vibrant sports and entertainment district, e11even is an elevated dining destination where exceptional hospitality, contemporary North American cuisine and handcrafted cocktails come together in a sophisticated yet energetic atmosphere. From pre-game excitement to late-night celebrations, e11even delivers memorable experiences just steps from Scotiabank Arena. As a valuable member of our e11even restaurant, you will help to deliver winning food & beverage service for our guests. You will provide support to the bartenders by assisting in the delivery of timely and professional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set and stock bar, including lifting boxes and cases.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be available to work a variety of shifts including days, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous bussing/bar back position experience.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Work well under pressure; balance multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a Barback role or similar position.
• Smart Serve certified.

Compensation Range/Rate: $18.99 / hour
