Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of banqueting experience.

We are looking for a Banquet Supervisor to join our team!

Job Description

As a Banquet Supervisor, you have the authority to exceed guest expectations by creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that coincides with our “we’ve been expecting you” sense of arrival for our guests. Your role is very important because you are your team's leader, teacher, and role model. Additionally, you will lead your people to make business decisions that are focused on upholding the highest standards in guest service while delivering against key financial goals and performance metrics.

Key Focuses:

  • Ensures the banquet spaces, lobby, public areas, and storage areas are “picture perfect” for optimal first impressions.
  • Ensures assigned tasks are completed in a manner that does not require follow-up; both in terms of timeliness and quality.
  • Provides direct reports with the resources, direction, coaching, and feedback required for their continuous development.
  • Maintains high standards of guest service by monitoring staff, addressing guest concerns, and ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Oversees the setup and execution of banquet events, ensuring all arrangements are in place and that the event flows smoothly.
  • Serves food and beverages to guests promptly, courteously, and professionally and oversees the assembly and breakdown of all banquet displays and decorations.

Experience/Passions/Education:

  • 1-2 years of banqueting experience is required.
  • 6 months of hands-on experience in a serving position.
  • Tech savvy.
  • Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
  • ProServe certification is required.

Working Conditions

This position may work dayshift, afternoon, or evening shift any day of the week or weekend with long days to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced and, at times, high-pressure environment that requires continuous physical movement, the ability to lift up to 30 lbs., and the ability to manage multiple sequences and demands. There may be periods of independent work and changes in temperature from the back to the front of the house.
