Job summary

Capilano Group’s Stanley Park Pavilion banquet team seeks a Banquet Server to deliver exceptional service at weddings and corporate events in Vancouver. Responsibilities include event setup/teardown, plated and buffet service, and wine service, while maintaining cleanliness and safety.

The role requires at least one year of banquet serving experience, Serving It Right certification, and strong people skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum one-year prior banquet serving experience.
• Must have current Serving It Right certification.
• Must have excellent people skills with a positive & upbeat personality.
• Previous experience in the food service industry is considered an asset
• Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and time management skills
• Previous experience with cashier and/or POS is considered an asset
• Professionally groomed appearance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by providing product knowledge, beverage recommendations, and insights about the local area.
• Support event operations including setup and teardown of banquet spaces, ceremony areas, and side lawn events.
• Execute table service duties such as setting tables, serving food and beverages, and maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth service and address guest needs or concerns.
• Promote a safe and professional work environment by following food safety protocols, health and safety procedures, and dress code standards.
• Collaborate across departments to foster a positive, team-oriented atmosphere and support Capilano Group initiatives.
• Maintain awareness of company offerings and actively promote attractions during events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned, contributing to overall operational success
