Opportunity Overview

The Vancouver Club is looking for full-time banquet servers, dedicated to exceeding expectations of both our members and guests to ensure the highest level of service is consistently provided. Teamwork is essential in providing a warm and personable experience. The role involves delivering excellent guest service with support from the Food & Beverage team.

Responsibilities

• Promote and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
• Offer professional, friendly, and warm hospitality to all members
• Uphold the values stated in the Steps of Service provided by Management
• Demonstrate knowledge of service standards, food and beverage service, and all other protocols outlined by the Banquet Captain
• Read and understand banquet event orders to fulfill event requirements and follow service timelines
• Have comprehensive knowledge of menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and garnishes
• Address guest questions about food, beverages, and wines informatively and helpfully
• Be aware of payment procedures and handle transactions appropriately
• Ensure teamwork, cleanliness, and organization in work areas
• Perform opening, closing, setup, and reset duties as per standards
• Perform other duties as required

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Previous server experience (asset)
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong customer service philosophy
• Serving it Right certification
• FOODSAFE Level 1 certification
• Flexible work schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Compensation

Hourly wage: $19-23 per hour
