A career as an Banking Advisor in the Nanaimo Retail Banking team at Canadian Western Bank, a part of National Bank, is to act as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and financial solutions. This job allows you to have a positive impact on the organization through your customer service skills, financial knowledge, and ability to build strong relationships.

Your job

  • Deliver outstanding customer experiences and ensure every client interaction is positive and meaningful.
  • Open accounts and offer banking products tailored to client needs.
  • Identify opportunities for referrals to Account Managers to support clients’ financial success.
  • Process transactions accurately while maintaining compliance and attention to detail.
  • Educate clients on banking products to promote understanding and engagement.
  • Contribute to the success of the branch through collaboration and continuous learning.

Your team

Within the Retail Banking sector, you are part of a team of customer service professionals, reporting to the Branch Manager. Our team stands out for its people-first approach, collaboration, and commitment to client success. Basic requirements

  • Some post-secondary education and 1+ year of customer service experience.

  • Interest in financial products and a desire to grow within the banking industry.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort using MS Office and other banking systems
