Job summary

Arthur Murray Dance Studio Toronto is seeking a full-time Ballroom Dance Teacher to lead private and group lessons in Ballroom, Latin, and Swing. You will guide students from beginner to advanced levels with engaging instruction and ongoing feedback.

Ideal candidates are skilled educators with a passion for confidence-building, fitness, and social connection through dance, and are available for evenings and weekends as studio schedules require.

Qualifications

• Strong proficiency in Ballroom, Latin, and Social dance styles with clear technique explanations.
• Experience teaching or coaching in a dance/fitness/performing arts setting with student-centered focus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to motivate and build rapport with diverse students.
• Create structured lesson plans, set goals with students, and adapt methods to learning styles.
• Comfort leading private and group classes in a lively studio with regular events.
• Evening and weekend availability as required by studio schedules.
• Background in competitive dance or choreography is a plus; Arthur Murray methods experience is beneficial.
• Passion for helping people gain confidence, fitness, and social connection through dance.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver individual and group ballroom/latin/swing lessons aligned with student goals.
• Demonstrate steps and techniques clearly to facilitate learning and retention.
• Coach students for social events and competitions, providing actionable feedback.
• Track progress against personalized goals and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Participate in studio events, social dance parties, and showcases to support community.
• Assist with student consultations, schedule coordination, and promotional activities.
