Job summary

Calgary Co-op is hiring a Bakery Utility Clerk to support a safe, efficient bakery operation and exceptional customer service. You will work under the Bakery Supervisor/Manager, ensuring displays, stock, pricing, and cleanliness meet standards.

Ideal candidates have Grade 9 and bakery retail experience, with fluent English, and a willingness to follow health, safety, and company procedures. Benefits include health coverage and employee discounts.

Qualifications

• Grade 9 or acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Bakery retail or related retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service and maintain positive customer relations.
• Operate bakery utilities including panning, bake-off ovens, and cake icing.
• Maintain display presentations and stock levels; ensure price changes and substitutions as needed.
• Conduct general clean-up and keep sales floor and back stock area organized.
• Follow Occupational Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Environmental policies.
• Manage ordering, receiving, invoices, returns, and inventory organization.
