Job summary

Big League Food Company is seeking a Full-time Junior Pastry Chef for its Dear Grain Bakery facility. The role focuses on sourdough pastries, precise scaling of recipes, and maintaining quality across a fast-paced bakery.

You will follow production plans, assist with team coordination, and help with packaging, inventory, and seasonal product development while upholding food safety and cleanliness standards.

Qualifications

• Detail oriented and strong work ethic required.
• Baking experience is preferred.
• Able to lift up to 40 lbs in a fast-paced bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Scale and prepare recipes for a variety of baked goods according to guidelines.
• Mix, portion, bake, and prepare pastries and baked goods to production needs.
• Follow daily production plan and support smooth bakery workflow.
• Assist with team coordination and allocate tasks based on priorities.
• Oversee packaging and organization of orders for distribution.
• Support seasonal product development and quality control.
• Monitor inventory and restock supplies; report low stock.
• Maintain clean, organized, food-safe workspace and proper labelling.
