Nventive is seeking a Backend Developer to join our Montreal or Quebec City campus. You will design and implement the business logic for diverse web applications within a multidisciplinary team, turning client visions into robust software. You’ll develop REST APIs, automate deployments, and manage cloud infrastructure.

Proficiency in .NET Core (C#) or Node.js, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and Azure or AWS is expected. Strong teamwork, curiosity, and adaptability are essential.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of web development experience.
• University degree in software engineering or relevant training.
• Strong knowledge of .NET /.NET Core (C#) or Node.js.
• Experience with API REST ( ASP.NET).
• Experience with SQL Server or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Azure or AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop the business logic side of applications by following good architectural practices (MVC, DI, micro-services, serverless).
• Develop REST APIs to bridge the logical layer with web/mobile apps.
• Automate deployments and manage the server infrastructure.
• Diagnose performance and security issues.
• Write unit and integration tests to validate logic.

nventive is looking for a Backend Developer to join our Montreal or Quebec City campus.

In collaboration with the members of your team, your mission will be to transform our client’s vision into reality. You will be able to work on several types of web applications, for customers from various fields of activity, in a multidisciplinary team. We offer a dynamic and collaborative work environment that will allow you to develop and acquire new knowledge throughout your time with us.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the business logic side of applications by following good technological and architectural practices (MVC, dependency injection, micro-services, serverless, etc.)
• Develop REST APIs to bridge the gap between the logical layer and web/mobile applications
• Be able to automate deployments and manage the server infrastructure that will host our applications
• Quickly diagnose problems with application performance and security
• Write relevant unit and integration tests to validate business logic

WHAT YOUNEED

• 3 to 5 years' experience in a web development environment
• University degree in software engineering, or other relevant training
• Good knowledge of:
  • .NET /.NET Core (C#) or Node.js
  • API REST ( ASP.NET)
  • SQL Server / PostgreSQL
  • Azure / AWS
