Job summary

Source Code in Toronto is seeking a Jr. Systems Testing/QA Specialist to support testing activities onsite. You will assist with test planning, execution, and documentation for GUI and non-GUI environments, including integration and UAT testing.

You will develop and run automated and API tests using Postman/Selenium, collaborate with developers, and participate in Agile ceremonies. AODA awareness is required and experience with COTS tools is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on testing in Agile projects using Azure DevOps or JIRA.
• Experience using Postman for API testing.
• Experience contributing to QA documentation, test execution reporting, and test artifacts.
• AODA knowledge and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides advice on the testing strategy, test plans, the selection of testing tools, and the identification of resources required for testing.
• Plans and organizes testing efforts for large systems in GUI and non-GUI environments including execution of systems integration tests, specialized tests, and user acceptance testing (e.g., stress tests).
• Develops test plans, test scripts and test cases and executes these against components, collaborating with project teams.
• Executes functional, integration, system, and regression tests.
• Validates system behavior under various conditions and reports defects using ALM, JIRA, Bugzilla, and Azure DevOps.
• Works with developers to reproduce and resolve issues and develops maintains automated and API test scripts using Selenium or Postman.
• Supports automated testing activities and CI/CD testing processes.
• Conducts performance, stress, and load testing to ensure scalability.
• Collaborates with stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure quality.
• Participates in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning and stand-ups.
