Job summary

Thomson Reuters seeks a senior Azure platform engineer to own and evolve the Azure estate used by product engineering teams. You will manage infrastructure as code in Bicep, operate AKS at scale, and lead responses during compliance audits across multiple regions, ensuring data residency and resilience.

You will collaborate with product teams on design decisions, define scalable patterns, and drive automation and cost efficiency while mentoring engineers and improving code reviews.

Qualifications

• 5+ years operating Microsoft Azure in production with compliance obligations.
• Production AKS or Kubernetes experience with upgrades, node pools, autoscaling, and debugging under load.
• IaC with Bicep (or ARM/Terraform) and modular deployment.
• Entra ID / Azure AD administration – RBAC, PIM, managed identities.
• Experience contributing to SOC2, HIPAA, or ISO27001 audits as technical expert.

Responsibilities

• Own infrastructure as code in Bicep and pipelines with automated review gates.
• Operate production AKS end to end including upgrades and scaling.
• Manage identity and access with Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Lead the platform’s response during compliance audits and produce evidence.
• Design multi‑region deployment patterns respecting data residency and sovereignty.
• Build observability using Log Analytics, Application Insights, and KQL.
