Job summary

OMERS is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join the Software Engineering team. The role focuses on cloud and container platforms to support OMERS Global Investments and Corporate teams in analyzing opportunities, supporting investment decisions, and optimizing the portfolio.

You will work with cross-functional teams to enhance hosting, monitoring, automation, and operations, delivering scalable, secure solutions across product teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering.
• Experience with Azure cloud and containers.
• Strong automation and scripting skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and scale cloud and container infrastructure with security and reliability.
• Build automation for monitoring, deployments, recovery, scaling, and alerts.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, and platform teams to improve reliability.
• Support migration of legacy apps to containerized platforms.
• Analyze performance and deployment issues and drive resolution.
• Stay current with containerization, observability, and security best practices.
