Job summary

Kumaran Systems in Canada is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer to support the design, implementation, and optimization of modern DevOps practices and cloud-based application delivery. The ideal candidate will collaborate with Development, QA, Infrastructure, and Release Management teams, and will own CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and deployment best practices.

Candidates should bring hands-on Azure DevOps experience, YAML pipelines, and familiarity with REST APIs and gRPC

Qualifications

• 8-15 years of experience in a DevOps, Build & Release, or Platform Engineering role.
• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using YAML.
• Experience with Release Automation and automated deployment strategies.
• Knowledge of REST APIs and gRPC services.
• Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, YAML, release automation, and deployment.
• DevOps practices across build, deployment, monitoring, and environment management
• Working with development and QA teams to support application releases
• Experience with cloud technologies
• Strong understanding of source control, automation, and Infrastructure/deployment best practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Implement and manage YAML-based build and release pipelines for automated deployments.
• Support application development teams by enabling efficient build, deployment, and release processes.
• Collaborate with Development and QA teams to coordinate and support application releases.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for deployment, monitoring, and operational tasks.
• Configure and manage environments across development, testing, staging, and production.
• Support and maintain REST APIs and gRPC services deployment and integration processes.
• Monitor application performance and infrastructure health to ensure high availability and reliability.
• Implement DevOps best practices for source control, release management, infrastructure configuration, and deployment automation.
• Troubleshoot deployment issues and provide root cause analysis for production incidents.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance deployment speed, quality, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with banking security, governance, and operational standards.
