Job summary

Home Hardware is seeking Truck Drivers to serve as the vital link to independent Dealers across Ontario and Quebec. Under the Dispatch Supervisor, you will deliver on time with safety and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities include loading dealer returns, maintaining vehicle health, handling required paperwork using on-board systems, and complying with regulations. Requires Class A with Z endorsement and a clean CVOR. Competitive pay and strong benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Class A license with Z Endorsement and a clean driving abstract.
• CVOR and driving record meet company standards.
• Ability to work independently delivering across Ontario and Quebec.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with independent dealers as Home Hardware ambassador.
• Load dealer returns for transport to Distribution Centre.
• Comply with government regulations and Driver’s Manual.
• Operate vehicle safely, maintain cleanliness, inspect vehicle and trailer.
• Complete paperwork using on-board tech; light data entry.

Led by the Dispatch Supervisor, this opportunity will suit someone who is an experienced truck driver with a track record of delivering on time, safely, and with a customer-oriented mindset.

• Building relationships with our independent Dealers as an ambassador for Home Hardware Stores Limited.
• Loading Dealer returns for transport to the Distribution Centre.
• Complying with all government regulations described in the professional Driver’s Manual.
• Operating vehicles in a safe and professional manner, maintaining vehicle cleanliness, and inspecting the vehicle and trailer to ensure safe operating conditions.
• Completing and delivering all necessary paperwork using on-board technology as required, along with light computer work and data entry.

We’re looking for:

• Class A driver’s license with Z Endorsement with a clean Driver’s Abstract and CVOR.
• High school diploma.
• 1-2 years of similar experience preferred with a good safety record.
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
• Ability to carry out deliveries throughout Ontario and Quebec.

• Typically, drivers in this role earn between $80,000 and $130,000 annually.
• Earnings are based on a combination of per-kilometre rates, pick-up and delivery fees, flat-rate allowances, hourly rate for downtime or wait time, and other work-related pay components.
