Gordon Food Service in Timmins, ON, is seeking an AZ Driver to join our delivery team. You will provide exceptional service, manually unload products, and safely operate trucks on diverse routes. Expect early morning shifts, potential Saturdays, and a home daily schedule with a 4-day work week option.

• Valid AZ driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Physically fit to repeatedly lift up to 80 lbs.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency.

• Ability to work in various weather and road conditions.

Responsabilidades

• Provide exceptional service to build and maintain customer relationships.
• Unload and sort food products manually and move them to customer locations using ramps or stairs.
• Operate straight trucks or trailers safely on urban, inter-urban and rural routes.
• Conduct routine pre/post-trip inspections and keep delivery records.
• Verify products and maintain customer invoices; follow health and safety procedures.

Position Highlights

• Pay: Starting at $31.11
• Location: Timmins, ON
• Shift: Day Shifts: 3 - 5 am start times, Monday to Friday (possibly Saturdays)

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Required

• Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
• Previous professional driving experience is preferred
• Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
• Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift)
• Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes
• Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting
• Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices
• Following health and safety and safe work procedures

Depot Specific Job Specifications

• Flexibility to cover other nearby Depots as required.
• Flexibility to cover nearby depots for both deliveries, and/or night transit routes for vacation or sick coverage as needed
• Ability to work weekends is required
• Availability to work a full 10-13 hour shift is required. Understanding that hours fluctuate depending on weather business needs.
