Job summary

Gordon Food Service - Canada is seeking an AZ Delivery Driver to join our Milton, ON team. The role requires a valid AZ license, the ability to lift up to 80 lbs, and at least 1 year of driving experience.

You will deliver to local customers, maintain records, and ensure safe, efficient service. The position offers a 4-day work week with overtime opportunities, a pay starting at CAD 31.11 per hour, and benefits after 30 days, including medical, dental, and RRSP matching.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1/AZ license with a clean driver abstract.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 80 lbs and performing manual unloading.
• Minimum 1 year of professional driving experience required.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
• Excellent communication and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service and build customer relationships during deliveries.
• Manually sort and unload food products and wheel them to customer locations.
• Operate straight trucks or trailers safely on urban and regional routes.
• Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain delivery records and logs.
• Verify deliveries at customer sites and manage invoices and documentation.
• Adhere to health, safety, and safe-work procedures.

AZ Delivery Driver Position Highlights

Skills, Knowledge And Ability Required

• Valid Class 1/AZ driver’s license with a clean commercial driver’s abstract
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
• 1 year previous professional driving experience is required
• Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions

Responsibilities Include

• Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
• Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift)
• Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes
• Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting
• Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices
• Following health and safety and safe work procedures
