Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Milton, Ontario is seeking an AZ Delivery Driver who is physically fit, customer‑focused and ready to join a great team. You will operate straight trucks or trailers on local routes, perform routine pre/post‑trip inspections and help unload goods at customer sites.

This position offers a 4‑day work week with overtime, benefits after 30 days, a flex benefits program and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1/AZ driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Physically able to lift up to 80 lbs and handle heavy items.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency.
• 1 year of professional driving experience required.
• Ability to work in varied weather and road conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional service and build strong customer relationships.
• Sort and unload food products and hand-wheel to customer locations.
• Operate straight trucks or trailers on local routes safely and professionally.
• Conduct routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintain records.
• Verify deliveries and manage customer invoices; follow safety procedures.

AZ Delivery Driver Position Highlights

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Required

• Valid Class 1/AZ driver's license with a clean commercial driver's abstract
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift, stack, pull and carry heavy items (up to 80 lbs)
• Strong communication and customer service skills with English fluency
• 1 year previous professional driving experience is required
• Ability to work in a variety of weather, temperature and road conditions

Responsibilities

• Providing exceptional service to build and maintain quality customer relationships
• Manually sorting and unloading food products and hand-wheeling them into the customer locations with the use of ramps and occasionally stairs (approx. 600 - 1000 cases/shift)
• Operating straight trucks or trailers safely and professionally to transport goods and materials over urban, short inter-urban and rural routes
• Conducting routine pre/post-trip truck inspections and maintaining accurate records of delivery routes, temperature logs, count sheets and incident reporting
• Performing product delivery verification at the customer location and maintaining customer invoices
• Following health and safety and safe work procedures
