Job summary

Contrans Vrac is seeking a full-time Company Driver to join our team on Canada/US routes. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, loading and unloading bulk materials, tarping trailers, and maintaining clean, safe equipment across cross-border operations.

Qualifications include a valid AZ license, CVOR, and 1–3 years of heavy haul or over-the-road experience. You will work with dispatch, safety, and maintenance to ensure timely deliveries.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit to climb 12' in & out of dump trailers, several times daily.
• Must be able to lift 20–25 kg of material in & out of trailers, multiple times daily.
• 3 years over the road experience or minimum 1 year heavy haul experience with AZ license.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and routine checks.
• Load and unload bulk/dump products safely.
• Tarpaulin operation on dump trailers and securing loads.
• Clean trailers after unloading and check equipment for defects.
• Operate within cross-border routes Canada/US and coordinate with dispatch.

Job description

• Type: Full Time - Single - Company Driver
• Route: Canada/US
• Openings: 3

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspections(Involve walking, bending, lifting and releasing the kingpin from the fifth wheel, approximately 50 pounds pulling force and winding dolly legs up or down, approximately 10 pounds force on the crank)
• Loading and off loading Bulk / Dump products
• Tarping (Opening and closing the trailer tarp on dump trailers, approximately15 pounds force twisting the tarp crank to open and up to 60 pounds pulling to close)
• Cleaning Trailers out (Sweeping the trailer after unloading – climbing,bending and walking.)
• Cleaning Trailers with Frozen product in side
• Removal of cross bows along the top of trailer (Requires hammer to removeall 10 cross bows)
• Climbing in and out of the tractor (approximately but not limiting to 2-4times daily)
• Driving (Driving can vary between 1 to 4 hours sitting and shifting thetransmission)
• Walking on uneven ground at different facilities while loading and off loading
• Dealing with Malfunctioning equipment (Trailer doors could get stuck,Trailer bows not easily coming out, issues with trapping system that may need extra force)
• Knowledge of axle weights
• Safe operation of equipment

• All paperwork (logbook, customs, trip envelopes)

Employment Requirements:

• Must be physically fit to climb 12' in & out of dump trailers, approximately but not

• Must be able to lift 20 to 25 kg's of material in & out of trailers, approximately but not limiting to 2-4 times daily
• Must be able to cross various borders between Canada and the U.S Minimum of 1 years heavy haul experience
• Or 3 years over the road experience Licenses / Certificates: AZ license
• Qualifications / Skills: Good CVOR and good Drivers Abstract
• We require a pre employment drug and alcohol testing.
