Job summary

Brendar Environmental Inc., a Da-Lee Group division in Bracebridge, Ontario, is hiring a full-time AZ or DZ Driver/Waste Technician. The role involves 70% driving duties—picking up materials from clients, delivering to receivers, and off-site waste collection—and 30% on-site work handling hazardous and non-hazardous waste with shipping, sorting, and packaging.

You will work Monday to Friday with occasional Saturdays.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Truck driving with AZ & DZ trucks.
• Loading and unloading materials; manual lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Shipping and receiving of materials.
• Manage inventories of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
• Sort, identify and label waste materials.
• Prepare and review shipping documents for accuracy.
• Maintain compliance documentation for waste management.
• Assist with household hazardous waste collection events.
• Support processing activities at the transfer station.
• Adhere to health and safety requirements.
• Monday to Friday schedule with some Saturdays.

Position Summary

This full-time position is perfect for someone who is flexible and enjoys a variety of work experiences as an AZ or a DZ Driver. Approximately 70% of the role will involve driving duties, which include picking up materials from clients, dropping off materials at receivers, and working off-site at waste collection events.

The remaining 30% of the role will be spent on-site as a Waste Technician, where you will be responsible for handling both non-hazardous and hazardous waste materials. This includes tasks such as shipping/receiving, collection, sorting, and packaging of materials to ensure proper disposal and compliance with regulations.
