Job summary

Canada Cartage is seeking an AZ driver to operate a trailer from the Ottawa terminal, delivering to local retail locations and ensuring loads are secured and compliant with safety standards.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain accurate delivery schedules, and interact professionally with customers while upholding company safety policies and hours of service. This role offers stability with home daily or weekly routes in the Ottawa region.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of verifiable AZ driving experience.
• Clean CVOR, abstract, and satisfactory background check.
• Follow company rules and regulations with respect to safety and hours of service.

Responsibilities

• Start and finish from the Ottawa Terminal.
• Deliver products to various retail locations within the Ottawa region and surrounding areas.
• Communicate professionally with customers.
• Ensure customer delivery is met in a timely, safe, and professional manner.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicles, including checking tires, brakes, lights, and cargo securement, and report any issues to the maintenance department for timely repairs.
