Job summary

American Iron & Metal (AIM) is seeking a skilled AZ Driver to join our Transportation team in Ajax, Ontario, starting at 6:00am, Monday to Friday. You will safely transport metal materials to and from client sites and AIM facilities.

The role requires a valid AZ license with a clean CVOR, 2+ years AZ driving, and the ability to tarp large bins. Overtime after 44 hours is available, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Driver's Abstract.
• Experience driving 18 speed manual transmission is required.
• Minimum 2 years experience as AZ Driver.
• Physically fit and able to tarp 40 and 53yd bins.
• Able to load/unload materials as required.
• Familiar with metal recycling processes (asset).

Responsibilities

• Operate AZ-class truck to transport metal materials to and from designated locations.
• Safely load and unload metal materials onto the truck using appropriate equipment and secure the load to prevent shifting or damage during transit.
• Performing manual tarping if necessary.
• Performing routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, ensuring that it is in good working condition.
• Completing accurate and thorough records of deliveries and any other required documentation.

Qualifications

To join our team:

• You have a valid AZ driver's license with a clean CVOR and Drivers Abstract
• You have experience driving 18 speedmanual transmission (required)
• You have a minimum of 2years of experience as an AZ Driver
• You are physically fit and able to hand tarp 40 and 53yd bins

• You are familiar with metal recycling processes and materials (an asset)
