Job summary

The Erb Group is seeking an AZ/Class 1 driver in Canada to drive to locations, deliver and pick up product, and move freight between terminal locations. You will fill out all required paperwork and represent Erb Transport professionally, delivering the best customer service possible.

Responsibilities include safe driving in all weather and road conditions, communicating with dispatch, performing pre/post-trip inspections, complying with hours of service, loading/unloading, and operating the

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year verifiable driving experience on AZ/Class 1 license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and health survey.
• CVOR, Driver abstract and a copy of a driver's license must be provided at time of interview.
• Employment reference check will be completed.
• Criminal record check will be required.
• Required to wear PPE (provided by The Erb Group).

Responsibilities

• Drive safely in all road, weather and temperature conditions.
• Deliver freight as per schedule and company policy.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries or inquiries.
• Perform pre/post-trip inspections and ensure equipment is safe.
• Communicate with shop when maintenance is required.
• Complete required paperwork according to company policy.
• Comply with hours of service and MOT regulations for all jurisdictions.
• Load and unload product in a safe, accurate and professional manner.
• Operate the onboard telematic device and electronic log system.
• Attend Driver Safety meetings and follow company regulations.
• Drivers are not assigned to dedicated units; slip seating is required.
• All other duties as required.
