PwC’s Cloud Computing and Networking practice helps our clients transform their business through innovative technology solutions and effective IT Service Management. Part of that journey includes helping our clients enable innovation, reinvent their customer experience, and explore new markets.

We seek an experienced and forward-thinking Data Architect to join our rapidly expanding AWS Alliance team. This role is crucial in designing and delivering cutting-edge Data solutions that drive our clients’ success. You will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining Data-related projects, enabling our clients to deploy analytics, advanced analytics, and AI models. Your expertise will be vital in transforming vast datasets into actionable insights, empowering our clients to achieve their business goals.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of:

Delivering Solutions:

• Requirements Gathering and Solutioning: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, provide clear project direction, identify customer pain points & objectives, conduct discovery sessions, and design solutions. Design and implement processes for data acquisition, storage, transformation, and retrieval, ensuring data quality, integrity, and seamless integration of large-scale datasets.

• Technology Lead / SME: Lead project planning, execution, and delivery; manage risks and issues; serve as SME on AWS Data technologies; provide technical guidance; foster a culture of innovation; improve team productivity.

• Best Practices: Ensure development of scalable Data solutions aligned with AWS best practices; establish and maintain best practices for engagement delivery; promote Agile and Scrum methodologies.

• Communication & Reporting: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders; monitor and report progress; translate complex Data concepts into understandable insights.

Supporting Data and AI Practice’s Growth:

• Participate in hiring, support sales activities, contribute to marketing, and mentor team members.

• Learning: Maintain in-depth knowledge of AWS Data technologies and compliance regulations.

Experience and skills you’ll use to solve:

• Data Expertise: Strong knowledge of databases, data lakes, data warehousing, governance, and security; familiarity with AWS Well-Architected Framework.

• Leadership: Experience in consulting, solution architecture, and leading multi-workstream Data projects.

• AWS Data Technologies: Expertise in integration, ingestion, storage, processing, and visualization; knowledge of modern data architecture platforms; migration experience.

• Code Skills: Proficiency in SQL, Python, Spark/Scala; experience with code repositories and development processes.

• AWS Infrastructure & AI: Knowledge of AWS infrastructure services and AI tools like Bedrock and SageMaker JumpStart.

• Strong problem-solving, communication, autonomy, continuous learning, and relevant education and certifications (AWS certifications are a plus).
