Job summary

Amazon Web Services Canada, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to act as a trusted technical advisor, helping customers design scalable, secure cloud solutions by working backward from business challenges.

You will partner with customers, sales and AWS teams to guide complex technology decisions and accelerate adoption. You will design architectures, build prototypes, and deliver workshops and presentations to help customers evaluate and adopt new technologies.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in solutions architecture, technical advisory, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
• Experience designing Well-Architected solutions in distributed systems and cloud architectures.
• Strong technical foundation in cloud architecture, data, AI/ML, and software development.
• Experience working directly with customers or stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and business audiences.
• Familiarity with modern architectures such as microservices, serverless, and event-driven systems.
• Fluency in French and English is required.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), including designing, building, and deploying production workloads
• Hands-on experience building or prototyping cloud, data, or AI/ML solutions
• Experience designing or implementing AI/ML solutions, including Generative AI and Agentic applications
• Experience presenting to a range of audiences, including developers, technical leaders, and business stakeholders
• Experience with scripting, automation, or software development in languages such as Python, JavaScript, or similar
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent experience

Compensation

Base salary range: $146,000 – $211,600 CAD annually (Montreal, QC). Amazon offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, basic life and LTD), RRSP, DPSP, paid time off, and additional well-being resources. Sign-on bonuses and RSUs may also be included.
