Job summary

Calgary John Howard Society in Calgary, AB seeks a Term Certain Part Time Awake Overnight Youth Worker to support youth at Raido House. You will collaborate with Residential and Outreach Caseworkers to promote independence, housing stability, and life skills in a trauma-informed, home-like setting.

Shifts are Thursday to Saturday, 10:00 PM–8:00 AM, with a contract through June 27, 2027. Candidates must have relevant education, 2+ years helping at-risk youth, and be prepared for crisis

Qualifications

• Relevant degree or diploma from a recognized educational institution.
• 2+ years supporting at-risk individuals facing homelessness.
• A demonstrated history of thriving in fast-paced environments that require creativity and ongoing troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Residential and Outreach Caseworkers to implement youth goal plans.
• Support youth with housing stability, daily living skills, education and employment opportunities.
• Create opportunities for programming, including recreation, education, art therapy, and community involvement.
• Document referrals, assessments, crisis plans/risk assessments, case notes, and letters of support.
