Job summary

Summit Air in Vancouver, BC, seeks an experienced Avro RJ Captain to lead flights across Northern Canada as PIC. You will fly safely, stay current on weather and NOTAMs, and verify flight plan accuracy.

Prospective candidates must hold a Canadian ATPL with 4,000 total hours, 2,500 MPIC, and jet time is an asset. A passport and RAIC eligibility are required, with pre-employment drug testing.

Qualifications

• Current Canadian ATPL.
• 4000 hours Total Time.
• 2500 MPIC (greater than 5700 kg).
• 500 hours on a Jet aircraft is an asset.
• High Arctic experience an asset.
• Glass cockpit experience an asset.
• Current passport with ability to travel to the United States and Europe.
• Ability to obtain Canadian Area Identity Card (RAIC).
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug & alcohol testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Avro RJ aircraft safely and efficiently as PIC across Northern Canada.
• Stay current with flight information, weather, NOTAMs, and verify accuracy of type A flight plans.
• Participate in pre-flight inspections and post-flight duties.
• Demonstrate a strong commitment to Summit Air's safety culture.
