Job summary

StandardAero is seeking a Technical Training Developer in Winnipeg, with a strong background in instructional design and adult learning principles. You will design and update instructor‑led and online training, assessments, and supporting materials for enterprise technical standards.

You’ll work with SMEs to translate complex aviation and maintenance information into clear, effective courseware, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with enterprise training standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, Instructional Technology, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years designing training materials related to operations, maintenance, military, or relevant field.
• Knowledge of adult learning, cognitive load, instructional design, and performance‑based training principles.
• Experience using ADDIE, SAM, or similar instructional design models.
• Proficiency with Articulate Storyline/Rise, Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, and LMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, revise, and maintain technical training materials across multiple formats.
• Apply adult learning principles and ISD methodologies to analyze needs and structure solutions.
• Create engaging, performance‑focused learning experiences with measurable objectives and assessments.
• Collaborate with SMEs to translate complex technical information into clear content.
• Develop standardized training materials for knowledge transfer and deployment.
• Ensure all deliverables meet branding, revision control, and quality standards.
• Support continuous improvement of instructional quality and learner experience.
