Work environment

Entry requirements
Training
Initial training includes Basic Military Qualification and specialized courses at CFSATE in Borden, Ontario, covering aircraft systems, electrical, structures, propulsion, and safety. Opportunities for advanced training and specialization are available, including courses in leadership, technical writing, and safety investigations.
Part-time options
Reserve members serve part-time at Canadian bases, with training lasting about 54 weeks. They serve up to 12 days per month, earning 92.8% of Regular Force pay, with benefits and pension eligibility. Opportunities for deployment and full-time service exist.
