Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group seeks an experienced embedded software engineer to design and develop AUTOSAR-based components for automotive ECUs in Ottawa. You will configure and test BSW modules, and collaborate with Ford architecture teams and suppliers to create reusable software and integration guides.

The role requires strong C programming skills, CAPL and Python, and hands-on experience with CAN/I2C/SPI interfaces in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of embedded software experience.
• 5+ years of C programming experience.
• BS in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, CS, or related field.

• Design and develop AUTOSAR-based embedded software components.
• Configuration, Integration and Testing of BSW Modules
• Good experience in using Davinci Developer and Configurator
• Analyze, Design, Implement, and debug the application code
• Contribute to product success through consistent on-time delivery of high-quality, functioning complex device driver code.
• Work with Ford architecture and validation teams, tool vendors, and AUTOSAR basic software partners to create reusable software components, supporting documentation, and integration guides.
• Perform code-level integration-related tasks such as replicating build environments, source code debugging, and continuously improving and streamlining deployments

Skills Needed

• BS in Electronics, Electrical Engineer, Computer Science, or related Field
• Experience in anyone of the BSW Module's, CDD & SWC's Implementation
• 5+ years of Embedded Software Experience
• 5+ years of programming experience in C
• Good Experience in CAPL & Python
• Candidates must have strong programming skills in C, and be able to write highly portable and platform-agnostic code
• Experience with low level interfaces such as I2C, SPI, ICU, PWM, GPT and CAN
• 1+ year experience in developing Proof-of-Concept applications for automotive ECUs
• 1+ years’ experience working in an agile environment
• Good to have knowledge on UDS
