Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a Nurse Specialized in Wound Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC) to join its community nursing team in Ontario. The NSWOC will deliver advanced wound, ostomy and continence assessments and management, through direct care or consultative support.

You will educate the nursing team, patients and families, participate in leadership opportunities, collaborate with stakeholders, and precept other ParaMed nurses.

Qualifications

• Active RN license with NSWOC certification.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in community nursing or direct wound/ostomy/continence care.
• IIWCC may be considered in lieu of NSWOC.
• Current NSWOC registration with NSWOC Canada preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct wound/ostomy/continence care and assessments.
• Educate patients, families and ParaMed nursing team.
• Provide consults/clinical support (direct or remote) with recommendations.
• Lead or participate in wound/ostomy/continence initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders; precept other nurses.
