Placements24 is seeking an Automotive Upholsterer for their Kimberley workshop. You will repair and replace interior upholstery including seats, headliners, door panels, carpets, and related components, maintaining high standards of finish.

The role requires precision craftsmanship, the ability to read patterns and design specifications, and experience working with leather, vinyl, and fabric using industrial sewing machines and dedicated tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Automotive Upholsterer or in a similar trade.
• Proficiency in working with various automotive upholstery materials (leather, vinyl, fabric).
• Skilled in using industrial sewing machines and upholstery tools.
• Ability to read and interpret patterns and design specifications.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Remove and install automotive interior upholstery components.
• Repair tears, rips, and wear in leather, vinyl, and fabric upholstery.
• Cut and sew new upholstery materials to match original patterns or custom designs.
• Install padding, foam, and reinforcing materials as needed.
• Ensure all work is completed to a high standard of finish and durability.
