Job summary

Fountain Tire Prince George is seeking a responsible Automotive Tire Technician to join our team. You will install, balance, rotate, and repair tires for passenger and light trucks in a clean, safe environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the automotive/tire industry.
• Customer-service focus with ability to develop relationships with customers.
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory record.

Responsibilities

• Install, balance, rotate, and repair tires and wheels for passenger and light trucks.
• Reset and repair TPMS (tire pressure monitoring systems).
• Maintain tire service equipment on a regular schedule.
• Complete specialty tire work such as studding, retread, or nitrogen services.
• Assist in inventory management and annual counts.
• Maintain a safe work environment for self and coworkers.

Overview

Fountain Tire Prince George,an established automotive repair shop, is looking for a responsible, safe, and dedicated associate to join our team as an Automotive Tire Technician!

You will be responsible for:

• Installing, balancing, rotating, and repairing passenger and light truck tires and wheels
• Resetting and repairing tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS)
• Maintaining tire service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Completing specialty tire work which could include studding, retread, run flat, nitrogen, etc.
• Assist in inventory management through documentation processes and annual inventory counts
• The responsibility to keep yourself and your coworkers safe

What does it take to get on track?

• 1+ years of experience in the automotive/tire industry is required
• A working knowledge of passenger and light truck tires, specialty tire services and wheels is an asset
• A customer-service focus with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with team members and customers
• A keen attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and provide a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to consistently lift 25 kilograms
